Gulam Sakaria
CSE undergraduate at Daffodil International University, working across an ML engineering role, a research assistantship, and StratifyX Global — a company I founded. I build systems at the intersection of AI and the Bangla language.
Balancing a classroom and a company at the same time
I'm an undergraduate Computer Science & Engineering student at Daffodil International University in Dhaka, on track to finish my BSc by 30 June 2028. Alongside my degree, I work as an ML Engineer at TV19 Online in London, and as a Research Assistant to Professor D. Shah J. Miah at Newcastle University.
I'm also the Founder and Executive Chairman of StratifyX Global, a tech news, research and blog platform I built myself and now run with a small team of contributors.
The common thread across all of it is language: I'm most interested in how AI systems understand Bangla and Banglish text, and what that means for a country where most public conversation happens in exactly that mix.
What I'm building
CommentLens
An AI engine that turns a Bangla/Banglish comment section into a civic-intelligence report — opinion breakdown, a comment health score, and claim clusters checked against a daily news archive.
StratifyX Global
A tech news, research and blog platform covering AI, cybersecurity and digital society. Built full-stack myself; now supports a 26-person contributor team.
Sorok — Road Accident Dataset
A structured, nightly-updated dataset of road accidents across Bangladesh, extracted from national and local Bangla newspapers and run automatically on Hugging Face Jobs.
ReliefX
A smart flood-relief coordination system built for a database systems course. Stored procedures and triggers block a family from receiving the same relief category twice within seven days; identity is protected with salted hashing.
Bangla Headline Factuality
A comparative study of fine-tuned transformers and LLMs for Bangla news headline generation, with a hallucination-detection layer combining NLI checks, entity overlap, and QA-based consistency scoring.
Curve Fitting Visualizer
An interactive app for visualizing curve-fitting techniques, built and presented with a course team for a Numerical Methods presentation.
